Valspar Young Interior Designer of the Year 2015 – Our very own superstar designer Kristina Myers is an award winner!
Following fierce competition from across the UK, Croft House Interiors designer & final-year student Kristina Myers from Huddersfield University has been awarded Valspar Young Interior Designer of the Year 2015 runner-up!
Looking to help shape the future of interior design, Valspar – the world’s largest paint and coatings manufacturer – searched for interior design students and recent graduates who are fearless when it comes to colour and who inspire colour creativity in the nation’s homes.
Commenting on the competition Claire Cullen, brand manager for Valspar, says: “…we wanted to create a platform, through Valspar Young Interior Designer of the Year, that champions the next generation of young interior designers who push the boundaries when it comes to colour creativity in the industry – and this has been embodied within Kristina’s design scheme.”
In a fiercely fought final, Kristina pitted her creation against seven other interior design hopefuls in front of a formidable panel of judges including: British design icon, Zandra Rhodes; Lindsey Rendall from the British Institute of Interior design; revered interiors stylist, Marianne Cotterill; and prolific interiors blogger and author, Will Taylor.
Kristina, while studying her for final year of a BA (Hons) Interior Design degree, impressed the judges with her unique interpretation and creative approach to use of colour and her use of space and light to create both a liveable and inspirational home environment.
We’re very Proud!
